A Little Something Extra This Year…Every year, Pie Day has been a delicious tradition at ELBC — and thanks to the generosity of Florence Thiffault, it’s a legacy we’re proud to continue. This year, we’re taking things up a notch and treating our members to an upgraded Pie Day experience.
We’re delighted to announce that Pie Day 2026 will feature mouthwatering, bakery‑quality FLANS. Yes… flans. Rich, silky, irresistible flans.
You’ll be able to choose your own slice of heaven from these scrumptious creations:
We’re delighted to announce that Pie Day 2026 will feature mouthwatering, bakery‑quality FLANS. Yes… flans. Rich, silky, irresistible flans.
You’ll be able to choose your own slice of heaven from these scrumptious creations:
- Plum Flan — cinnamon‑kissed with a buttery streusel topping
- Apple Custard Flan — apples, cinnamon, creamy custard, finished with streusel
- Raspberry Crème Brûlée Flan — tart berries with a caramelized sugar crown
- Pecan Flan — maple syrup and chocolate ganache for the perfect indulgence
We will play one 12 end fun game (tags-in at 1:30 pm) and then enjoy the delicious Flans. Everyone is invited to this season ending event!
We will eat Flan come Rain or Shine. In the event of rain please come and collect your slice!

Florence Thiffault Pie Day
Florence Thiffault passed away peacefully in 2016 at 99 years of age . Florence enjoyed some 49 years as a lawn bowler. She spent innumerable hours as a volunteer at the club level, both provincially and nationally as a coach, marker, umpire and mentor. Very few have given as much to the game of lawn bowling as Florence has. Florence left a legacy to ELBC that sponsors our Annual Pie Day held in October each year. Thanks to Florence we will get to enjoy a delicious piece of pie in her honour every year. Make sure you come out and sample the pie in October!
